We will foster children’s development of positive attitudes and values towards sustainable practices by engaging in learning experiences, joining in discussions that explore solutions to environmental issues and watching adults’ model sustainable practices. Children learn to live interdependently with the environment.

Our educators will promote a holistic, open ended curriculum which explores ideas and practices for environmental sustainability that helps children understand the interdependence between people and the environment by; Connecting children to nature through art and play, allowing children to experience the natural environment through natural materials like wood, stone, sand, recycled materials and plants including native vegetation. We will also develop educational programs for water conservation, energy efficiency and waste reduction by celebrating children’s environmental knowledge and sustainable activities.

We will engage children in nature walks and educational programs that promote learning about plants, gardening and growing plants and flowers from seeds, this includes involving children in learning about the food cycle by growing, harvesting, and cooking food for our service kitchen and by taking part it environmental awareness events like Clean Up Australia Day, Walk to School Day and the adoption of an animal through WWF.[/vc_column_text][/trx_content][/vc_column][/vc_row]
