Inspired by Early Education

Inspired Early Learning is a Reggio Emilia inspired early education and care centre. We believe every child brings with them deep curiosity and potential which drives curiosity and their interest to understand the world and their place within it.

At Inspired, our aim is to enrich and inspire the lives of our children, and our educators by providing high quality education, meaningful relationships, empowering and advocating for children’s rights, and contributing to critical reflection to further develop our curriculum and environment.

Our priority to provide a safe place of belonging for all children, families, educators and our community.

Inspired Early Learning is committed to providing high quality early childhood education that is responsive to the needs of families and reflects the diverse communities in which the children live.

Our Inspired Philosophy and Founding Principles

Child Centred

We encourage and support each child’s individuality and creativity, each child is recognised as strong, capable, and resilient, and valued as rich with curiosity and knowledge.

At Inspired we believe:

  • A child prospers when surrounded by nurturing significant adults and an environment that promotes a sense of creativity and wonder.
  • The opportunity to learn through creative mediums is essential for a child’s well-being and cognitive development.
  • Each child will be given the opportunity to learn at their own pace and to follow their own interests.
  • Every child contributes to their own learning and planning, and programs are reflective of this.
  • Authentic learning environments engage the imagination of children and promote deep learning.

Nature Learning

By taking children and educators into the outdoors we can open amazing opportunities to understand nature and make a meaningful connection with the environment.

At Inspired we:

  • Encourage children to engage with natural environments which will promote the development of emotional, intellectual, and physical health of a child.
  • Design and create authentic learning environments to engage the imagination of children and promote deep learning.
  • Empower children to develop a deep respect and understanding of nature and ensure this is nurtured with a positive and caring connection to nature.

Community

For us, the community encompasses family and culture and the significant influence of this. We embrace strong connections with local organisations and value our surrounding community of Bunurong and Wurundjeri peoples, we value their heritage and knowledge shared by community members.

We recognise our Elders as knowledge bearers and strive to learn while educating our children and extended community.

At Inspired we believe:

  • Family is the most important contributor to the development of values and development of a child and as such are valued.
  • Bunurong and Wurundjeri people’s history and culture are valued, and Elder’s recognised as knowledge bearers.
  • We promote respect for ourselves, each other, and the environment so that children will find balance and harmony in their lives.
  • Our community is valued as an important contributor to our learning landscape. Educators are our most valuable resource and deserve the respect of the community.

NUTRITION AT INSPIRED

At Inspired Early Learning we know how important it is for young children to have a nutritionally balanced diet. Our centre menu rotates weekly and seasonally to ensure we provide the freshest variety of in season fruits and vegetables. We are proud of our menu which has been approved by The Healthy Eating Advisory Service which is in alignment with the Australian Dietary Guidelines.
