It’s time to share a few of our favourite activities to explore at home.

Make and play with playdough:

It’s time to let the children get messy and create with playdough. This tactile activity encourages children to be creative and develop their physical skills. Tips: add essential oils, herbs or sprinkles for a little bit of fun!

Print with potatoes
Do you remember stamping with a potato when you were younger? Cut a potato in half, carve out a shape, then use paint and let your children stamp away on paper or cardboard.

Homemade Musical Instruments
Fill empty bottles with rice or pasta, fill glasses of different heights with different levels of water, encourage your child to tap on the glass with a spoon and enjoy your very own musical band.

Fashion Show
Invite your child to channel their inner fashion diva. Encourage your child to select clothing from your wardrobe and jewellery.

Popcorn Strings
This is a great activity that is easy to make and that your children can also eat. Pop a whole batch of popcorn and let children string them together using needles and thread. The perfect afternoon snack!

DIY T-shirt
It’s spring time, which means spring cleaning, bring out the textas and encourage children to create their very own designer t-shirt!

Homemade Pizzas
Everyone loves pizza, make mini pizzas together. Muffins are the perfect base for a pizza!

Virtual Zoo
Travel plans and weekend adventures might be on hold at the moment, however you can still explore Australia without leaving your home or paying an entrance fee!
Taronga TV
Melbourne Zoo

What learning have you and your family been busily exploring at home? We would love to share your inspired ideas!
