The Bug hotel has ignited a spark of inspiration within our Kookaburras children.
With a keen eye our Kookaburras children have been investigating been investigating, searching, and caring for the diverse creatures that call our environment home.
The discovery of a ladybug has been the starting point, inspiring the children to delve deeper into their surroundings.
The children have been observing the intricate movements of ants and searching for the elusive rolly pollies (or butcher boys, as some may know them).
As our children continue to explore and learn, they are not only expanding their knowledge but also cultivating a deep respect for the diversity of life that surrounds them.
Other activities our Kookaburras have enjoyed include;
- Using clay to manipulate and mould insects
- Drawing representational insects
- Searching and creating a Bug Hunt activity
- Crafting their very own ladybirds
Other activities we have enjoyed including building skyscrapers wth our magnets, enjoying books being shared with friends and learning the meaning of in, out, next too, behind and in front.
We cannot wait to find our next Inspired insect..
