At Inspired Early Learning we take the health and wellbeing of children in our care very seriously.

As such, our Inspired educators are trained in, and follow strict health and safety procedures, as outlined in the National Health and Medical Research Council’s publication: Staying Healthy – Preventing infectious diseases in early childhood education and care services.

Staying Healthy provides educators and other staff working in education and care services with simple and effective methods for minimising the spread of disease. It contains more ‘how to’ advice on procedures and discussing exclusion periods with families.

It is important to note, whilst we follow the guidelines as stated in the Staying Healthy in Childcare publication, at times of an outbreak or when children are unable to take responsibility for their health and hygiene, Inspired may indicate an exclusion period to support and minimise the spread of illnesses. We do this with great consideration as a priority to your children’s health and wellbeing.

It’s time to share information regarding current illnesses that are prevalent within our community.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
Croup
Pneumonia
Bronchiolitis

Did you know at Inspired we offer an indoor/outdoor curriculum, therefore children are able to explore indoors and outdoors each and every day regardless of weather.

It is very important to keep children home when they are sick so as to minimise the risk of spreading disease to other children, educators and their families. In particular, viruses spread quickly when there is close contact and cause many of the diseases that are common among young children — especially when a child is coughing, sneezing or has a runny nose.
