It was great excitement and joy that we could finally remove our face masks and celebrate our first birthday on Saturday the 26th of March from 10:00am – 12:00pm with smiles, laughter, conversation and fun!

Our children, families and educating team participated in a Welcome to Country with an aboriginal elder from our Botanic Ridge Community. A Welcome to Country is a ritual or formal ceremony performed as a land acknowledgement at many events held in Australia. It is intended to highlight the cultural significance of the surrounding area to a particular Aboriginal clan or language group who are recognised as traditional owners of the land. Country is the term often used by Aboriginal peoples to describe the lands, waterways and seas to which they are connected.

Acknowledging when you’re on the land of Traditional Owners is a sign of respect which acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ownership and custodianship of the land, their ancestors and traditions. We are very grateful to our Aboriginal community for supporting the education and growth at Inspired Early Learning.

Did you know?

Our Inspired children and educators participate in an Acknowledgement to Country each day. Our Acknowledgement to Country is ‘here is the land, here is the sky, here are my friends and here am I, we thank the Bunurong people for the land in which we play, let’s enjoy our day’.

There were many activities to explore from our very own disco, dinosaur play, water play, our cosy library, playdough and drawing. The children enjoyed displaying to their loved ones their new developmental milestones, from drawing faces, to rolling snakes with playdough and labelling the many different dinosaurs.

We were lucky enough to have used local businesses to ensure the fun and games could continue all morning, with a jumping castle, face painting and our very own climbing equipment with a ball pit.

We would like to extend our greatest appreciation to our Inspired children and families for celebrating, supporting and contributing to a wonderful first year of business, education and growth.

We look forward to many more events, celebrations and fun at Inspired.
